Basic Descriptive information on the most common seat types:

O-Ring Mount Seat:     This type covers the wisest range of application requirements for general services.  It is recommended to 600 PSIG.  The temperature range is dependent on the chosen Elastomers.

Cup Mount Seat:   A low cost high volume product with a large sealing surface for rough bores over 63 RMS.  Not for use in high temperature applications, as the ring cup acts as an insulator.  Pressure range to 200 PSIG.

Clamp Mount Seat:  This ring provides the widest temperature and pressure range.  Often used in Chemical applications in combination with PTFE® gaskets.  Pressure ratings with PTFE® gaskets 750 PSIG.  If a sprial wound gasket is used pressures up to 1200 PSIG may be obtained.
